First Year Program Curtin College will be spending 2 days with rustic furniture maker Fred Peryer building benches for the permaculture garden. Located behind Commons College at 78 Park Street, the permaculture garden is a student-initated project that has been planned according to permaculture design principles and grown using organic and sustainable methods. A long-term goal for the project has been to have the garden develop into an outdoor classroom, and have a connection to the Canton community through workshops, lectures and events held on the site. Curtin College will be helping to fulfill this goal by building 3 rustic benches for the permaculture garden.
