Ever wanted to make an Adirondack pack basket? Now is your chance....

This will be a great day of weaving - and participants will end up with a great pack basket - ready for a day hike or to use on campus.

Weave your pack with various sizes of reed, an oak handle and apply a cotton harness. Weave a plain weave base with pre-cut stakes, then continuous weave with flat oval reed. As you weave Linda will be guiding you as you concentrate on shape creating a belly as you weave. Then you will pack the weave tight, weave the false rim, cut and tuck stakes, add the handle, rim and skids. Linda will teach you how to fit your rim, carve your skids and rim. A harness will be applied to your completed basket. A pattern will be included with your materials. Basket Dimensions: 6” x 9” x 12-14”H

A free lunch will be provided to all registrants.
